Who we are
Oscailt is an Integrative Health Centre that was founded by Mary O’Callaghan in 2006. It is located at 8 Pembroke Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. Our website address is www.oscailt.com.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site or if they use our contact form, we collect the data shown in the comments and contact forms, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Information Sent To Gravatar
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Gravatar provides a service that places an avatar beside your name when you comment on a blog post.
After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
If you provide images for inclusion in our site, e.g. practitioner profile pictures, or if you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. You may want to keep this information private for your personal privacy and safety.
If you are concerned about EXIF data in your photos, there are numerous free online tools for removing it. You can also download software to remove the data for you. If you are tech-savvy, you can even remove it manually following the instructions provided for your operating system.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Cookies and Cookie Consent
If you wish to review or revoke your cookie preferences for this site you can do so using the cookie banner at the bottom of the page.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
We currently use embedded content from YouTube and SoundCloud.
Event Booking Data
Along with the email address field, the booking form also includes an optional field to submit your phone number. This is so we can easily get in touch if there are any issues regarding your booking, e.g. changes to an event schedule, postponements, cancellations, refunds etc. This is for your convenience and it is not compulsory in order to complete the payment process.
We accept payments through the Stripe payment gateway via the WooCommerce plugin. When processing your payments, some of your data will be passed to Stripe. To facilitate this process WooCommerce will set the following cookies on your computer or device:
We allow our practitioners to display their profiles and contact details in our Services and Classes sections. If you are a practitioner and you want your data updated or removed, please contact our reception. You can send an email with your request to firstname.lastname@example.org or you can use our contact form.
We distribute our Newsletter using the MailChimp email marketing service. You can update or change your MailChimp contact details or preferences via a link provided in an email you receive from Oscailt.
You may wish to unsubscribe from our mailing list. You can do this at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the Oscailt Newsletter. You will not receive any further notifications regarding events and workshops. We will not keep any record of your name or email address.
