Drop-In Mindfulness – Joy
Drop-In Mindfulness – Joy – a four-session, online, drop-in event facilitated by Barry Lee. Classes take place every Tuesday on Zoom from 6 pm to 7 pm from the 2nd until the 23rd of March. One payment of €20 or €30 or €40 will cover all four sessions. You can choose the amount based on what you can afford. Please book online using the booking form below.
Barry will be hosting the March Drop-in on the subject of Joy. Joy is central to living life fully and the basis of resilience. When we have joy in our lives we can also more easily embrace what is difficult and challenging. Without joy we can easily drown in or be overwhelmed by the difficulties we all face. Joy is not about being phony or looking at life through rose tinted glasses. We will explore ways in which we can enhance our capacity to notice and savour all the moments of joy and connection which are already here. Barry will draw on the work of James Baraz who developed the course “Awakening Joy” and also the work of neuroscientist, Rick Hanson.
Each week there will be a different theme, (including intention, gratitude, connection and learning), to find joy in difficult times. Participants will also be introduced to a variety of guided practices and experiential exercises.
