
Drop-In – Deepening our Mindfulness practice
Deepening our Mindfulness Practice – a three-session, online, drop-in event facilitated by Carmel O’Hara. Classes take place every Tuesday on Zoom from 6 pm to 6.50 pm from the 12th until the 26th of January. One payment of €20 or €30 will cover the next two sessions. Cultivate your Mindfulness Practice this January
As the external circumstances of our lives become more uncertain, the practice of mindfulness is all the more important in helping us stay resilient in navigating the challenges we meet on a day to day basis.
Course Outline
Session One
Session one will focus on creating a space in our lives and the many different ways we can practice, using formal and informal practices. We will explore the importance of being realistic and compassionate towards ourselves so that we can slowly deepen our commitment to a regular practice.
Session Two
Session two will reflect on the cultivation of intention and its role in sustaining our commitment. While we know that a regular practice of mindfulness can be really helpful it is all too easy to let our practice slide. During this session, we will become familiar with the hindrances that get in the way of maintaining our practice.
Session Three
Session three will reflect on how we can gain support on our mindfulness journey and explore the many ways we can support ourselves. Self-care is central to our staying mentally resilient, healthy and maintaining our physical well-being. When we are well resourced we are better able to support those around us.
